Pleasure Studies, 2026
These works move toward what is fleeting, sensation as it softens, form as it slips toward memory. The body is present, but not fixed. Light touches and withdraws. Gesture hovers between arrival and disappearance.
Printed at 4 × 5 inches on silver gelatin paper. Intimate enough to require closeness and small enough to resist spectacle. The materiality of silver gelatin with its depth, grain, and tonal quiet holds what it can, even as the image suggests what cannot be kept.
Where some images seek clarity, these studies accept diffusion. They linger in the space between presence and absence, between touch and afterimage. Pleasure here is not climax or declaration. It is atmosphere. A warmth that has already begun to cool.
Each study is an attempt not to preserve a moment, but to honor its passing.
Together, the works ask what remains once sensation dissolves, what residue the body carries, what memory light leaves behind.
